Things that help me stay on track

Writer's picture: MariaMaria

How do I stay on track with my schedule and routine? How do I not forgot all the things in our busy schedule with work, home, and extracurricular activities? Well, I do forgot a lot but here are some tips and tricks that I use that work for my family and me:

I use a shared grocery list with my husband on my iPhone so he and I can add anything we need to the list anytime we want as long as we have our phone!

I make a menu out for 2 weeks (usually I plan this on Thursday evening when my family is with me so they can have input about the menu). My husband and I love to cook but with young children, work schedules, and extracurricular activities, etc. it is just down right hard to get dinner on the table sometimes or most of the time! I have some easy meals with minimal meal prep that I will share— (That will be future blog posts). So, I go grocery shopping one time per week—I do a Walmart and Target pickup on Friday or Saturday morning and then I get my fresh groceries— fruits, veggies, etc. on Sunday mornings.

Drive Up & Pick up - huge time saver!!!

I use Walmart pick up and Target drive up. I know that Sprouts and Walmart delivers fresh groceries to your door (I have not used this yet but it would be a great time saver- I mean groceries delivered to your front door!!)

Meal Prep Sunday mornings after Mass and grocery shopping! I timed myself and it took me about 30-40 minutes to get all the meal prep done for the entire week... another blog post to come on this topic!

Again these things work for my family. It may not work for you. So please talk it out with your family and decide what works best for you! I am just giving ideas and suggestions that I do that works for my family and me!

Do you have any suggestions or strategies that work for you?
